Donate Your Excess Resources: Don’t donate to places that resell items such as Goodwill or Salvation Army, or even Habitat for Humanity, before first exhausting options to donate directly to people in need who may not be able to pay for items for their livelihood!
• If you have clothes in good condition (undamaged and wearable) that you don't need, donate them. There are many places locally and in higher volume areas that could benefit from your oversized t-shirts or that spare jacket you rarely wear.
• Do you have extra pillows, blankets, sleeping bags, clothing hangers, garment racks, pots/pans, that you find yourself using less and less? Many extra items we accumulate could benefit homeless encampments, pull those items off your shelf and check the condition, and box it for donation.

Donate Your Money Directly:
Sometimes we don’t have the time or the resources to donate to people who need them, but perhaps we have an extra $5 or even an extra $40 that could go to those folx. Be wary of "organizations" that keep money for profit, such as Red Cross, Salvation Army, etc. Mutual Aid organizers use the full funds you donate to directly support houseless neighbors through purchase of necessary supplies that they need. You can donate via paypal, venmo, or cashapp:

Donate Your Kindness: It becomes increasingly rare for people to carry cash on them as we move more and more digitally with money. But if you have a few minutes to chat with your fellow human and buy them a hot coffee, a dollar to spare since every dollar counts, before proceeding on your way, do this act of humanity and kindness.
